Area
Allocated For Jewish Homeland by League of Nations
At this point in history, after the Ottoman Empire was dissolved, the Allied powers took it upon themselves to carve out nations from what once was an empire, and thus grant independence to different ethnic groups and nationalities. At the time the Middle East was still on the drawing boards and the maps of its nations were only blueprints that were then realized by certain mandates. The map shown below delineates the area that was mandated for the Jewish Homeland, under the trusteeship of Britain.
